On the show late Sunday night I talked about how my mother had a stroke. Well she went home to be with the Lord on Mother’s Day at aproximately 9:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. Sometimes I wish that this is a bad dream that I’m dreaming because I miss my mother so dearly. But God had other plans for my mother. I know that she’ll be watching over me and I know that she’ll be going to the Lord asking the Lord to make me one mighty bold preacher in him. Everytime I preached, it always made her filled with joy. She would always say, AMEN everytime I said something good. My mother will truly be missed. But I know that she’ll be shouting her Amen’s with Jesus up in Heaven. On my show I said I’m taking a hiatus. I believe that my mother would want Finding The Truth In The Cross to go on and go on we must. So early Sunday morning I will be preaching on the subject, “Are We Near The End?” Be sure to tune in this week because I believe it’s going to be an impacting message.

I know that this is a daily devotional website but I want to strongly encourage you all to keep my mother in your prayers. She has gangrene on her toe and today she’s going to be having surgery so I strongly encourage you to lift her up in your prayers and that God will be with the Doctor’s. I pray that everything will work well. Also pray for me as well because I’m going through a worry state. My faith level right now seems to be at an all time low right now. Satan’s really attacking me but I’m doing my very best not to give in. I know other diabetics that have overcomed this type of obstacle and I’m hoping and praying that God allows my mother to overcome this obstacle as well. One thing that I’ve been praying to the Lord for is peace. I’m like, “Lord give me peace and give me a sound mind about all this that is going to take place!” I hope that she will be home soon and that she will get the healthcare that she needs.  Also continue to pray for me. I would appreciate it.

When Jesus came to earth, He said more than once that He is the word of Truth, or the Sword of the Spirit. He gave the right to us to carry that sword, but then He said that those who live by the sword shall die by the sword.
        Yesterday (the day that I slept) I was supposed to go to a debate between a Priest and an Atheist.  I feel truly sad for both of them. I feel bad for the priest because he is showing himself and his beliefs to be  foolish. Fighting and not truly knowing how to use what you have to fight with makes you out to be a fool.
        Jesus told us not to throw our pearls before pigs. When we fight someone who is a pig in their own mind and thoughts, they will not listen. If you fight them, you are doing the same as throwing your pearls in front of them.
       
        So how are we supposed to fight?
 
        First,  we stand and show that we are truly what we say that we are. Second, we stand firm in the word of the Lord, so that no matter what scoffers say, we do not back down. Third we stand in the Lord’s power over our own . We do not allow the Sword that God has given us to be used as a toy.
 
        No one that I know now has ever seen me truly pull my sword, and truthfully I would prefer to keep it that way. The word of the Lord is more powerful than you could ever imagine.
 
        If you think that you know how to use the word of the Lord, you must first understand that using it is being a man or woman of God and that you will have to respect God’s will.

As I write this daily devotional, I write with tears in my eyes.  I was flicking through the channels and I saw something on CNN’s Headline News that really caught my eye. After hearing this story, I began to cry. My heart became like Christ’s. I began to weep for all the people that are lost and don’t know Christ. They’re so many people that are out in this world that don’t realize that they’re heading to a place called Hell. And it’s really sad to see that they’re so many people heading to this place called Hell but Christian let me tell you something, IT’S TIME FOR US TO REACH THE WORLD AND TELL THEM ABOUT JESUS!! IT’S TIME FOR US TO GET OUT OF OUR COMFORT ZONE AND IT’S TIME FOR US TO TELL PEOPLE ABOUT JESUS CHRIST! IT’S TIME FOR US TO WIN THE LOST AT ANY COST WHETHER IF IT MEANS BEING PERSECUTED!

Earlier today like I said I was watching CNN Headline News and there was this story about this High School Senior that was in his Art class and he drew a picture of a road with the cross at the end of the road and on it he had John 3:16 on the upper right hand corner of the picture. His teacher turned around and gave him an F and a zero for that Art project that he did. Also in the report they said that other students were trying pictures of Demons and Satanic stuff and they were getting A’s and higher grades.  Because this kid expressed his faith in Jesus Christ, he got a zero because he had his faith in Jesus Christ.  When I saw that picture that he drew, I said to myself, “Man I would love to have that picture up on this website as well as our radio show’s website because that’s what this Ministry is all about, Finding The Truth In The Cross” Well because of his belief, he got an F anyways.

This angry preacher called CNN and gave them a piece of my mind. I turned around and I told CNN that this kid DOES NOT deserve an F for his artwork that he was expressing his belief in Jesus Christ. I turned around and I also said them that they’re people that say they believe in God but when you mention the name above all names Jesus Christ, all hell seems to break loose. There’s one thing that I want to let this world know. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH  JESUS CHRIST THE SON OF GOD, THEN YOU ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH GOD THE FATHER!

If you love God the way you say you do, then you would love Jesus as well. Jesus was the one that went to the cross for each and every single one of you. That High School Senior posted a scripture on his picture and it was this scripture verse.

Because of this kid drawing what he believed in on paper he got an F and a zero because of it. That’s why we used the text earlier. He was letting his light shine. He got out of his comfort zone and wasn’t ashamed to say, “I love Jesus!” How many of you are willing to get out of your comfort zone? How many of you that are out there are willing to let go of your religious pride and give your heart to the Lord Jesus? If you’re willing to give your heart to the Lord Jesus then I strongly urge you to say this prayer right where you are.

“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

If you have prayed that prayer I believe you are born again. Get yourself into a good Church that preaches the word of God and remember to always communicate with God.

Sometimes we ask ourselves, why isn’t God meeting my needs or why isn’t God for there for me? The question that I want to ask you is, have you prayed? One thing that we have been talking about is that God wants to have a RELATIONSHIP with each and every single one of you. This isn’t about religion anymore. This is about having a relationship with God. God wants you to talk to him and tell him what it is you want. God wants you to talk to him just like you talk to your friend’s, your spouse, your mother, your father, etc. He wants you to talk to him.

In Luke 11 one of Jesus’s disciples had the BOLDNESS to ask Jesus how to pray. Let’s read Luke 11:1-14

1And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

 2And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

 3Give us day by day our daily bread.

 4And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

 5And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;

 6For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?

In verse 9 Jesus tells us to ASK! How many of us are communicating to the Lord? How many of us are praying to him? You know there’s one question that I want to ask us American’s? How many of us are praying for our troops over in Iraq? How many of us are praying for our government? You see it doesn’t matter what politcal race that we are, we need to pray for our government. You see we here about our own U.S. troops getting killed, the question is are we praying for them? Are we praying for God to heal our land? Christian’s it’s time for us to pray. It’s time for us to go to the throne and talk to the King Of King’s and the Lord of Lord’s. You need to forget about what religion you are, start having a RELATIONSHIP with Jesus Christ.

2 Chronicles 7:14 says If my people which are called by my name shall HUMBLE themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from Heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land.

How many of us have some sort of sin in our life? You see they’re people that are there that think that if we sin we need to run away from God. That is NOT the case scenario. When we sin instead of running away from God we need to RUN TO GOD and have him wash us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So many Christian’s seem to forget the cross. So many people seem to forget that one of the reason’s Jesus died on the cross for us was so that we may have life and that we may be forgiven from all unrighteousness. Forgiven from all the wrong that we have done. We can go to the Lord at anytime. You see ladies and gentleman let me tell you something. Our prayers SHOULD NOT be 5 minute emergency prayers. We shouldn’t pray to the Lord only in case of an emergency. He wants us to pray to him in good times and bad times. We just shouldn’t pray to him when we’re feeling down and out. We should also pray to him when we’re cheerful and happy. It’s time for us to pray. It’s time for America to turn away from it’s roots. You know let me tell you something. The government wants to take God out of our money and take prayer out of our School’s, well if we take God out of all of this, plan and simple God is not going to heal our land. And if I were to go to Washington D.C. the question that I would ask EVERY politician even our President of the United States, this is the question I would ask them. Do you want God to heal our land or not heal our land? We need to think twice before we take God out of our government. I would tell our Government that we worship the TRUE God and that he is worthy to be praised. The word of the Lord it clearly states that if we dont’ praise him that the Rocks would praise him. Folks we need to pray. God gave us all mouths. He made everybody and he gave them a mouth for you to speak. He gave you a mouth so that you could speak praises to him and that you could COMMUNICATE with him. It’s time for us to start talking to God. If you have never given your heart to God and you want to give your heart to God please pray this prayer and please post a comment so I can rejoice with you over your commitment to receive Christ. Or you may have given your heart to Christ before and you backslid and you want to rededicated your life tonight please pray this prayer with me and please comment so I can rejoice with you.

I would like for us to take a look at verse 41 real closely. That verse clearly tells us that when he saw the city, he wept over it. He saw their sin. He saw their darkness. Jesus was probably saying to himself, “If they have only knew how much I loved them!” They’re so many people that are out there that are in the world today that do not know how important salvation is today. Most people take salvation as a joke. Well let me tell you something my friend’s, Salvation is NOT a joke. When we are given the opportunity to receive Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior, we should take advantage of that opportunity because it may be our LIFE CHANGING opportunity.Yesterday I was at the college that I attend. And on every Wednesday at the Christian Fellowship over on the campus, they have Family Dinner every Wednesday night. And there’s this guy that comes to the Family Dinner and I didn’t know that he’s Muslim. So I turned around and I said to him, “God doesn’t care what religion or what nationality you are, you are his creation and he wants to have a divine relationship with you.” I even turned around and I said to him, “You can talk to God the same way you’re talking to me right now!” I even said to him that he could ask Jesus Christ into his heart as personal Lord and Savior and he gave me the look of disgust and told me that he wasn’t interested in accepting Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior. He said where he was Muslim he couldn’t do it. Like I said Jesus doesn’t care what race you are, what color, what ethnic background you are or what religion you are. You can accept Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior. There’s one thing that I want to let each and every single one of you know, Jesus is for EVERYBODY! Jesus isn’t just for the Christian’s, he just not for the protestants, he’s just not for the Jews, the Greeks, the French and etc..  Jesus is for EVERYBODY! Why is Jesus for Everybody? Because each and every single person that is reading this daily devotional, you were created in the image of almighty God! You didn’t come from Evolution like some scientists say. We didn’t come from Monkey’s. We came from Almighty God. The creator of the Heaven’s and the Universe. That is who we came from. Don’t tell me that Jesus isn’t for everybody because I got news to tell each and every single one of you all, HE IS FOR EVERYBODY! HE IS FOR YOU, HE IS FOR ME, JESUS CHRIST IS FOR EVERYBODY AND IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT YOUR RELIGIOUS BACKGROUND IS!

Ladies and Gentleman that right there is PROOF that Jesus Christ is for everybody. The Jews and the Samaritans didn’t really have anything to do with one another, but Jesus was out to show her, that he is for everybody and that he loves everybody regardless (and that is a key word) of who they are.

Jesus loves the WHOLE WORLD and Jesus is FOR the whole world. There’s one thing that I do want to make perfectly clear though. A lot of you may be saying to me right now, “Pastor Brian how can Jesus love the whole world when most of the world lives in sin and darkness?” The sin and darkness that didn’t come from Jesus, the point that I’m trying to make is, Jesus LOVES the people that live in the world. Past, Present, Future, and people of ALL religions and ALL Faith’s, Jesus loves ALL. There’s one thing that I want to clearly tell each and every single one of you out there that are reading this. This isn’t about religion anymore. Like I have stated over on the show for Easter, RELIGION IS DEAD! YOU CAN HAVE ALL THE RELIGION OUT THERE IN THE WORLD BUT IT’S NOT GOING TO GET YOU INTO HEAVEN! Religion WILL NOT get you into Heaven. Good works WILL NOT get you into Heaven.  The ONLY WAY that will get you into Heaven is Jesus Christ and having a divine relationship with him. Jesus even said it in his word.

6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Ladies & Gentleman that just clearly proves right there that Jesus is the ONLY WAY up to Heaven. It’s not religion, it’s not good works, it’s by having a RELATIONSHIP with Jesus Christ.  And instead of making the Lord weep over you if you don’t know him, let him rejoice over you. Let him rejoice over the fact that you have chosen to live for him. Feel free to say this prayer with me.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (King James Version)

Hello all! I hope that everyone of you had a blessed Easter. I know I certainly did. What a great feeling to rejoice to know that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is finally risen from the dead. Anyways I have to tell you that this preacher is VERY angry. This anger that I have is not a sinful anger, but it’s an anger that would even make the Lord angry. The reason why I’m angry is because every year at Easter time, ABC airs The Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments is NOT a bad movie and I have nothing against that movie whatsoever. The movie pretty much doesn’t touch on what Easter is all about. Easter isn’t all about Moses. Easter is about what our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did for us all at the cross for us. Here’s the difference between Moses and Jesus. Moses came and brought forth the law. But Jesus came to bring forth GRACE. And by Jesus going to the cross for each and every single one of us, we can receive this grace which we read in Romans the 6th chapter. Back in 2004 Mel Gibson made a movie entitled, “The Passion Of The Christ” The funds that came from making this movie came out of the pocket of Mel Gibson. This movie created alot of controversy. The media said that this movie was too graphic and so forth. What Jesus went through for us, was indeed graphic. History tells us that the crucifixion of Christ was one of the most horrific acts that has ever took place in the history of all mankind. NOBODY has gone through the torture that Jesus Christ went through for each and every single one of us. The media today likes to ridicule God’s descendant’s but when it comes to showing the cross, they’re ashamed to show it. Not only does media want to hush the name of Christ but it seems like our government wants us to hush the name of Christ.  So many people are ashamed of Jesus. I have stated before in previous messages before that Jesus came from God. Jesus even tells us in his word in John 8:42 that he comes from God. Alot of people say that they believe in God but when you mention Jesus, they’re some people that have a problem with it. Well I got news to tell each and every single one of you. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH JESUS, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH GOD AS WELL BECAUSE JESUS CAME FROM GOD! The media does not seem to realize that Jesus Christ came from God and that he is God’s son and that he is sitting on the right hand of his father right now.  If the media can air Billy Graham crusades on network TV, why can’t they show a movie like The Passion Of The Christ? Does the meida not know that the word of God clearly states? Does the media not know what the word of God states? I’m not talking religion here, I’m talking THE WORD OF GOD, THE B-I-B-L-E THAT’S THE BOOK FOR ME! DO THEY NOT KNOW WHAT THE WORD OF GOD SAYS? Phillipians 2:10-11 says, “That at the Name of Jesus EVERY knee should bow of things in Heaven, and things in earth and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father.” There’s one thing that the media needs to know, Moses didn’t go to the cross, Mohammed didn’t go the cross, Buddha didn’t go to the cross, the pope didn’t go to the cross, it was JESUS CHRIST that went to the cross for you and for me. Glory be to God for that. Like I preached on Easter Sunday on the radio show, we need to breakthrough the doubting spirit. So many people today are walking in doubt but however they are NOT walking in FAITH. We need to start believing God at his word. Like the top of the page says, ye shall know the TRUTH and the TRUTH shall make you free. Reader let me remind you that God’s word is TRUTH! His word is TRUTH! If you’re listening to religion, you’re listening to a lie. It’s time for you to tune into the WORD OF GOD and it’s time for you to start digesting the truth of God’s Holy word.

Happy Easter everybody! I want to strongly encourage each and every one of you not to walk in doubt. When Jesus was on this earth, many people doubted the words that he has spoken.  There’s one thing that I want to remind each and every single one of you out there. When God says that he’s going to do something, God is going to do it. The Chief Priests and the Pharisees did not believe that Jesus was going to rise again from the dead. They had to have Soliders guard the tomb because they were afraid that the disciples were going to steal the body of Jesus. (Matthew 27:62-66)  PRAISE GOD that there was no grave that could hold our savior down. In the 28th chapter of Matthew it clearly tells us that the angel of the Lord rolled away the stone. That just comes to proove that the Lord did what he said he was going to do. The Lord tells us in his word that he’s going to be coming back again. But they’re people that are out there in the world today that do not seem to believe this. There’s one thing that I want to let each and every one of you know. JESUS IS TRUTH!  Jesus said in John the 18th chapter in verse 37, “To this end was I born and for this cause came I into the world that I should bear witness unto the Truth. Everyone who is of the the truth hears my voice.” Pilate then asks him a question, “What is truth?” which we read in the 38th verse here of the 18th chapter of John. Did Pilate know that he was looking into the face of truth? In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way the TRUTH and the Life. No man comes unto the Father but by me.  So when Jesus says he’s going to do something we should BELIEVE that he’s going to do it. Jesus is coming back again my friend’s and we should be READY for him to come back.

There may be someone that is reading this and you’re not saved and you want to accept Jesus Christ as personal Lord & Savior. Or you may have backslidden and you want to rededicate your life over to God. All you have to do is say this prayer.

“Father I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have seperated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
